Description: The John Deere 420W was bought new in 1958 by Jeff’s uncle, Paul Richelman, from Campbell Hill, IL. As a child, Jeff had always dreamed of owning his uncle’s tractor. In 1999, Jeff and his father were able to purchase the tractor from Paul Richelman’s estate auction.
Jeff began restoration work on the tractor in 2021. With the help of Nick Romann, Erine Phelps, and Laddie Garris, he was able to complete the project in late 2022. Jeff takes immense pride in the restoration’s results. He says the tractor has a rich history and required a lot of hard work, but it was a fun project. Jeff enjoys driving his restored John Deere 420W in parades and displaying it at tractor shows. It is his wish that the tractor remains in the Richelman family for generations to come – through his children and grandchildren.
